Ohio September Unemployment Rates
Unemployment rates in central Ohio tumbled in September, according to statistics released today by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Unemployment in Franklin County dropped from 8.8 percent in August to 8.2 percent in September. The jobless rate in Columbus fell from 8.9 percent to 8.3 percent.
Changes in rates in other central Ohio counties include: Delaware 7.3 percent to 6.7 percent; Fairfield county 8.9 percent to 8.2 percent; Licking county 9.4 percent to 8.9 percent; Madison County 9.1 percent to 8.5 percent; Pickaway County 11 pecent to 10.3 percent; and Union county 8.8 percent to 8 percent.
